The Aurora Houn Dawgs ended a four-match losing streak with a 3-2 victory Friday over Parkview, but they took a tough 2-1 loss in overtime Tuesday at home against College Heights.
The Houn Dawgs, 6-8 overall after the match Tuesday, returned to action Thursday at home against Big 8 Conference foe Marshfield.
Injuries have taken a toll on the Houn Dawgs their recent struggles and with their solid and steady goalkeeper Clemente Reyes out with injury Friday against Parkview, Sam Salas stepped in and up in goal with eight saves.
Offensively, freshman Larson Briggs led the way with two goals, Lester Perez tallied one goal and one assist, and Renan Canales picked up one assist.
Aurora head coach Curtis Bishop said that Mark Hostetter, Kris Lopez, Blake Hamelin, and Eric Reyes all played big games Friday.
College Heights defeated Aurora on a goal with 10 seconds left in overtime.
