Veronica Helen Mayberry, age 75, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2020. She was born September 6, 1944, in Sault Sainte Marie Michigan, to Richard Thomas and Helen Lorraine Brady. Veronica attended high school in Aurora, Missouri and lived in Verona, Nixa, and Hollister. Veronica raised four daughters Shelly, Dana, Nicki, and Julie with a loving devotion. She married Jerry Mayberry in 1980 and together they spent time raising a family, spending time at the lake, traveling, and finally being grandparents together. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Veronica was a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a friend, and a volunteer. She enjoyed good books, challenging puzzles, and especially looked forward to all holidays and making them as special as possible for her family. Veronica always had a beautiful smile that will be forever missed.
Veronica is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Mayberry four daughters, Shelly Pichler and her husband, Eric, of Clever, Missouri, Dana Stackelbeck and her husband, Kurt, of Peculiar, Missouri, Nicki Woods and her husband, Jeff, of Rogersville, Missouri and Julie Parks and Dusty Flood of Springfield, Missouri; 14 grandchildren, Aubrey,Joseph, Allison, Anastacia, John Michael and James Pichler, Brandi, Nicki, and SierraStackelbeck, Colton (Emily) and Kyra Woods, Ashton Parks and Jace Flood, and one sister, Kay Brakemeyer.
A graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, located at the corner of East Prospect and South Jefferson, Aurora, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Veronica’s name to the Alzheimer’s
Association of the Ozarks.
