Alice Joy Suneson, age 86, of Moreno Valley, California passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. She was born April 22, 1931, the oldest daughter of Charles and Pauline Powell.
On June 26, 1948, Alice married Leighton (Sunnie) Merle Suneson in Kent, Michigan.
Alice was a Mother of 11 children. After she reared her children, she became a florist and managed her son’s flower shop. She loved arranging flowers and making people smile with her bouquets.
She is survived by fours sons and two daughters; Lynn Suneson and wife Margo of Palm Desert, California, Rob Suneson and wife Nancy of Marionville Missouri, Scot Suneson and wife Carrie of Haymarket Virginia, Christopher Suneson and wife Julie of Bella Vista Arkansas Denise and husband Duke Wilson of Springfield, Missouri, Cindy and husband Gary Domingos, Moreno Valley, California, , 28 Grandchildren, 48 Great-Grandchildren, and 18 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded by death by her husband Leighton (Sunnie) Suneson, four sons, Jeffery Suneson, Timothy Suneson, Craig Suneson, Kevin Suneson, one daughter, Valerie Suneson and granddaughter, Valerie Suneson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2018, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield Missouri. Please come join us for her service.
She was known to many as mom including many she didn’t birth. She was a women of much love, kind words and moral support for those she would meet. She will be missed but not forgotten!
