Lula Mae Crouch, age 87, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at the Bentonview Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monett. Missouri. She was born December 17, 1932, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Marion Arvey and Lela Faye (McCullah) Burbridge.
Lula was a 1950 graduate of Aurora High School and was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
On February 9, 1952, she married Carl Edward Crouch, in Huntsville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1996.
Lula is survived by one son, Gary L. Crouch and his wife, Deborah, of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Carla J. Brown and her husband, Bob, of Monett, Missouri; two brothers, Jerald Burbridge of Burlington, Iowa and Jim Burbridge of Aurora; three grandchildren, Carrie L. Crouch of Austin, Texas, Ashley Prangler of Branson, Missouri and Caleb Brown of Monett and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Peck, of Branson.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Faye, her husband, Carl, her sister, Norma Glensky and her brother, Kenneth Burbridge.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church parking lot. A private family burial will follow at the at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
In light of the concerns and restrictions placed on group gatherings due to COVID-19, there will not be a formal visitation. There will be a viewing for friends and family from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
