Kenneth Eugene Lechner, age 58, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 9:53 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  He was born February 16, 1961, in Aurora, Missouri the son of Bernard and Roah Nell (Chaney) Lechner.

Kenneth was a 1979 graduate of Verona High School.  He worked for Mid Am Dairy Farmers of America and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona.

Kenneth is survived by four stepchildren, Vicky Pace and her husband, Scott, of Verona, Tyler Daugherty and his wife, Amanda, of Marionville, Missouri, Kelly Garner and her husband, Nathan, of Verona and Raymond Daugherty of Crane, Missouri; one sister, Paullette Calhoun and her husband, Rick, of Aurora, Missouri; one brother, Gerald Lechner and his wife, Brenda, of Verona; one aunt, Lila “Molly” Wilks of Verona; one uncle Clarence “Snags” Lechner of Aurora; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Roah and sister, Terri Lechner.

A funeral mass, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona.  Buriall followed at the Calvary Cemetery, in Verona. Rosary was held from 6:00-6:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2019, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made payable to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
