CARF International recently announced that Preferred Family Healthcare (PFH) services in Aurora have been re-accredited for a period of three years.
The Aurora location, at 112 South Madison Avenue, offers components of child welfare services and is one of 54 service locations accredited by CARF and operated throughout Missouri by Preferred Family Healthcare. This re-accreditation extends through December 31, 2020.
“I am proud of the work we are doing in Aurora, and our employees who are dedicated to improving the lives of others by their commitment to providing high-quality, innovative care,” said Michael Schwend, President of Preferred Family Healthcare.
This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows PFH’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
Preferred Family Healthcare currently has over 4000 employees operating in five states. Substance use disorder services, mental health services, services for individuals with developmental disabilities, child welfare services, and employment services are among the varied programs provided by the organization. In addition, two federally qualified health centers are operated by PFH in Hannibal, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois.”
