Rocking A Saddle Club brings 53rd annual rodeo

For 53 years, the Rocking A Saddle Club has offered an ACRA-IPRA rodeo to spectators. This year is not different as the club offers three nights of bulls, horses, roping and many other events, including a calf scramble. The annual event is set for July 22-24 at the saddle club on Business 60 in Aurora.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages seven to 12 and free for children ages six and younger. Senior citizens get in for half price on July 22. Rodeo begins at 8 p.m. The rodeo also includes a parade in downtown Aurora at 5 p.m., July 24.
Barnes  & Sons Rodeo Co. of Talequah, Oklahoma, will provide the stock, and 16-time rodeo Clown of the Year Shawn “Boom Boom” Thompson will be on hand. The rodeo is offering $5,000 added money to the winners. Book sare open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 14 by calling 918-458-0030. Permits and locals are accepted.
