Marionville senior Macy Miller and the Lady Comets played their last home game of the season on February 18 against Ash Grove. The Lady Comets struggled on offense with missed shots and turnovers in the first half, which led to the 38-point loss.
The Lady Pirates opened with a seven-point run before Brooke Nelson scored on a layup. With Ash Grove out-rebounding and forcing turnovers, Marionville only scored six points in the first quarter with baskets coming from Miller and Amy Hicks. Marionville trailed 6-24 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was much like the first with Ash Grove increasing its lead 40-6 before Miller scored with less than two minutes left in the first half. Miller scored again on two free throws before the end of the first half to leave the Lady Comets trailing 10-44.
The Lady Comets improved on offense during the third quarter with Nelson scoring on a layup and Miller draining a three-pointer to bring the score to 15-47. Hicks and Miller continued to put points on the board for Marionville, but Ash Grove also continued to increase its lead. The Lady Pirates led by 30 at the end of the third quarter with the score set at 22-52.
