Youth basketball league begins in fall at Ozark Community Center
The Ozark Community Center in Ozark will begin competitive youth basketball leagues in September. Leagues will be for students in fourth, fifth, sixth, junior high and high school boys and girls will be played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the OC, 1530 West Jackson.
The cost of league is $325 with a 10-game guarantee. Leagues begin the weekend of September 10. Deadline to register is September 6. For more information, call Mike Edwards at 343-9709.
Basketball tournament set to benefit Good Samaritan Boys Ranch
A benefit basketball tournament for the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch will be October 9, at the Republic Recreation Center.
The tournament is for boys and girls in grades four, five and six. Cost is $150 with a three-game guarantee.

Basketball tryouts for area sixth grade girls for competitive league

Memorial golf tourney to benefit area’s Community Foundation
The John Lee Memorial Golf Tournament four-person scramble is set for September 11, at Honey Creek Golf Club with 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun starts. Entry fee is $240 per team. Aurora co-ed softball league registrations end September 1
Aurora’s fall co-ed softball league registrations are now underway. Registration forms are available at Aurora City Hall (second floor) or on the Web site at www.aurora-cityhall.org. Cost is $175 per team and is limited to six teams. Registration ends September 1, and play will begin September 7.
