Dawgs put up win for first game of season

Aurora's Houn' Dawg football team opened the season with a bang Friday night defeating the Warsaw Wildcats. The Dawgs dominated the game shutting out the Wildcats 34-0.

 Aurora got on the scoreboard in the first quarter with a 21-yard touchdown by Austin Lenox, followed by a successful extra two points from Manuel Rios. The Dawgs added to their lead in the second quarter with a 37-yard touchdown by Everett Basham. The scores was 14-0 at halftime.

The Houn' Dawgs increased their lead to 28-0 in the third quarter. Rios picked up his first touchdown and kicked the field goal to put the score at 21-0. Michael Helms scored Aurora's second touchdown for the quarter, which Rios followed with a field goal.

 Rios struck again to open the fourth quarter running 92 yards for a touchdown to put Aurora's final total at 34-0.
