Aurora Houn’ Dawgs and Marionville Comets will start their football seasons with home openers on August 27, but the two teams will offer opportunities for fans to get a preview before the season.
Aurora
Under the direction of Coach Rick Scholten, the Houn’ Dawgs will travel to Branson on August 20 for a jamboree. Teams participating are Branson, Springfield Kickapoo and McDonald County. Start time is 7 p.m.
Aurora’s first game of the season is against Warsaw on August 27, at Kelley Field. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
Marionville
Under new Coach Bill Voorhis, the Comets will have a Meet the Comets Night on August 13, starting at 7 p.m.
Fans can get a
glimpse of the Comets during a Gatorade scrimmage. Entry to the scrimmage is a bottle of Gatorade or paying at the gate.
The Comets will host a jamboree on August 27, at Bill Redus Field,
with a start time of 7 p.m.
