Aurora track and field athletes put out strong performances across the range of events at last Thursday's Ice Box Relays home meet, including three first place finishes.

Boys high jumper Dalton Thornton scored the top jump in his event, while the girls' 4x800 and boys' 4x400 relay teams finished in first place.

Other top three finishers for Aurora on the girls' side included:

long jump -- Emily Moore, second place; Natalie Wallace, third place triple jump -- Wallace, third place javelin -- Moore, third place 100-meter hurdles -- Kaysie Carr, second place 1600-meter run -- Aubrey Boatwright, second place 400-meter dash -- Olivia Gibson, third place 3200-meter run -- Boatwright, second place

On the boys' side, Aurora finished in the top three on the following events:

A handful of Lady Houns also finished in the top eight places for their events, including:
