A walk-off walk drawn by Chloe Ryan gave the Aurora Lady Houns a win over El Dorado Springs for third place in the Walnut Grove Tournament last Saturday, capping off a big weekend for the sophomore. The bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the fifth inning gave the Lady Houns a 10-9 win, their second victory in three games at the tournament.

Aurora came back from an early 2-0 deficit to score four runs in the bottom of the first. El Do responded with one in the second but Aurora added three of its own to make it a 7-3 contest. Two runs by each team in the third made it 7-5 before the visitors on the scoreboard put up four runs to tie it in the fourth. After holding the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the fifth, the Lady Houns pushed across the winning run with Ryan at the plate.

It was Ryan's second walk and second RBI on the day, to go along with a hit and a run. Junior Hailey Sturgell also added two RBI on one hit.

The day before, the Lady Houns scored a pair of seventh-inning runs to defeat Parkway 7-5. Ryan recorded four RBI on the day with two runs and two hits, including a home run.

After competing in the Branson Tournament this weekend, the Lady Houns will travel to Marshfield on Monday and Lamar on Tuesday before returning home against Monett on Thursday.
