John David Barker, age 47, of Aurora, passed away at 2:18 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010, at his home.  He was born on December 8, 1962, in Monett, Missouri, the son of Ralph and Anne (Mulkey) Barker. John was a 1981 graduate of Aurora High School and a member of the United Methodist Church of Aurora. 
Those surviving him include his parents, Ralph and Anne Barker of the home; one sister, Jill Brandmeyer and her husband, Jim, of Kansas City, Missouri; and one niece, Emily.  His grandparents preceded him in death.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, February 15, at the United Methodist Church, with burial in Maple Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 1 to 5 p.m., on Sunday, February 14, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
