Kenny Hartwigsen, age 59, of Verona, passed away at 12:30 p.m., February 19, 2010, at his residence. He was born on August 10, 1950, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Ira Paul and Helen Louise (Finch) Hartwigsen.
He was a 1968 graduate of Aurora High School and  received his associate’s degree in 1970 from Crowder College in Neosho. Kenny had worked for 34 years at Schreiber Foods in Monett. Over the years, he enjoyed hobbies such as racing his race car and calf roping.
On June 4, 1998, he married Cindy Allen in Miami, Oklahoma.
Those surviving him include: his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Lindsey Hartwigsen of Springfield and Lacey Maples and her husband, Justin of Crane; four sons, Kevin Hartwigsen and his wife Ashley and Kenny Hartwigsen Jr. and his wife Michelle, all of Aurora, Chance Hood and Chelsey of Verona and Danny Moore and his wife Robin of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Evan, Makenna, Quiency and Dakota; two brothers, Raymond Hartwigsen and his wife Patti of Aurora and Charles Hartwigsen and his wife Nancy of Collierville, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Williams and her husband Loyd of Aurora and Jean Perry and her husband Paul of Crane; his father-in-law, Jim Allen of Spokane; and several nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held February 23, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora; burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery. A visitation was held on February 22, in the funeral home.
