He was born to Robert and Lorene Bottoms Gettman on September 1, 1955, in Denver, Colorado. He was a maintenance worker for Tyson Foods.
Survivors include his mother, Lorene; his wife, Micki; two daughters, Amy Lasley of Springfield and Angie Turpin and husband Steve of Republic; four brothers, Robby Gettman, Stewart Post, James Post and Danny Post; and two sisters, Sharon Whier and Delores Foss.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m., August 13, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel.
