Norma Henson, age 85, of Monett, passed away at Monett Health Care on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
Norma was born on March 18, 1924, in McDowell, the daughter of the late Eunice Aaron and Flora (Baldwin) Harris. She was a retired home healthcare worker and an antiques dealer. She was a Methodist. Norma also opened her home to many foster children throughout the years.
Survivors include one son, Nick Henson and wife Julie of Aurora; five grandchildren, Annitra Henson of Monett, Josh Henson of Branson, Matt Henson of Cassville, Jessica Carter of Aurora and Kayla Henson of Aurora; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Sherrill of Wetumka, Oklahoma, and Darlene Blomgren of the state of Idaho. Norma was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 19, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett, with Bro. Phil Williams officiating. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Buchanan Funeral Home.
