Aden Andrew Burdett, age 14, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on December 9, 2003, in Springfield, the son of Jay and Elizabeth (Witt) Burdett.

Aden was a freshman at the Aurora High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aurora.

Aden is survived by his parents, Jay and Elizabeth; four siblings, Alex, Annie, Devon and Dawson Burdett, all of Aurora; maternal grandmother, Melissa Chapman and her husband, Calvin, of Aurora; maternal grandfather, Mark Witt of Pierce City, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Margie Wells and her husband, Mark, of Verona, Missouri; paternal grandfather, Joe Burdett and his wife, Peggy, of Stockton, Missouri; maternal great-grandparents, Edmund and Waunita Witt, of Pierce City; two nephews, Jaxon Dunning and Oliver Burdett and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora was held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Aurora. Burial followed at the S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Pulaskifield, Missouri. Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the church.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Aurora Athletic Booster Club or the Come and Dine Community Dinners at the Aurora First Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.
