Deejay Floyd Jr., of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 7:28 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his home. He was born July 16, 1974, in San Diego, California, the son of Phill and Stephanie (Fasching) Marbut.
Deejay was a 1994 graduate of Aurora High School and had worked at the EFCO Corporation in Monett as a hoist operator for fourteen years. He was a member of the Apostolic New Testament Church in Mt. Vernon.
On April 21, 2012, he married Kristen Carsten in Monett, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Kristen; his parents, Stephanie and Phill Marbut of Aurora; two sons, Dominick and Daunte Floyd of Aurora; five daughters, Chantel Huse of Sedalia, Missouri, Whitney Floyd of Carthage, Missouri, Erin, Megan and Addison Carsten, of Aurora; one brother, Brent Marbut; three sisters, Shuanda Damrill, Jamie Ipock and Lashel Crouch; uncle, Corbett Fasching; aunt, Elamae Campbell; mother-in-law, Doris Snider; father-in-law, Rick Snider; sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Bryan Snider and sister-in-law, Karen Snider.
His son, Jordan Floyd, preceded him in death.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the Harvest Fellowship Church in Aurora. Burial will followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in the memory of Deejay may be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer research in care of the funeral home.
