Donna Kay Walker, age 74, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 10:18 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Mercy Hospital in Aurora. She was born June 13, 1943, in Fredericktown, Missouri, the daughter of Dale and Iona (Murray) Smith.

Kay was a graduate of Aurora High School. On May 21, 1960, she married Jackie Dean Walker, in Aurora. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2004

She was a real estate appraiser and she and husband Jack owned Properties Unlimited Appraisal Service in downtown Aurora. Prior to this Kay owned Properties Unlimited Real Estate and was instrumental in industrial growth and development in the City of Aurora. Kay was honored to serve as an elected official on the Aurora City Council during this time, then continued to serve as Mayor for the City of Aurora.

Kay’s family were her love and joy. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, documenting every special moment in picture. She had the voice of an angel and shared her love of music often.

She is survived by her mother, Iona Smith of Aurora; daughter, Lisa Sharkey and her husband, Michael, of Aurora; two sons, Randall Walker of Shell Knob and Matt Walker of Aurora; two grandchildren, Jamie Cline of Nixa and Russell Cline and his wife, Amanda, of Aurora; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Bradley, Dalton, Jackson, Clayton, Braydon and Emma; two brothers, Stan Smith of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Jerry Smith and his wife, Genelle, of Springfield, Tennessee; one uncle, Bob Murray of Hermitage, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Her father, Dale, husband, Jack, and sister-in-law, Debbie Smith, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora with burial to follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation was held on Thursday, November 16, 2107, in the funeral home chapel.
