Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation will host an informational meeting September 2 to provide details to area residents about the closure of the Business 60 bridge at Verona.
The bridge, which officials said was built in 1927, will close September 7; the new bridge will reopen by the first of November.
The bridge crosses Spring River to the south of Verona and leads to Highway 60; it is a major artery for people traveling between the Verona, Monett and Aurora areas.
The come-and-go meeting is set for 4 to 6 .m., September 2, at the Verona City Hall, 144 North Third Street.
