The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will be hosting their sixth annual Fall Gardening Workshop designed for homeowners seeking tips on garden management.
The workshop will start with registration at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3:15 p.m., Saturday, September 26, at the Kimberling Area Library in Kimberling City.
“This program will feature presenters who will be discussing the topics of square foot gardening, improving soils the natural way, edibles in the landscape, native plants and how to put the garden to bed for the winter,” said Tim Schnakenberg, agronomy specialist, University of Missouri Extension, based in Galena. “The Master Gardeners are drawing this year on speakers who have a lot of experience in these topics so it should be an outstanding workshop.”
Space is limited and advance registration is required. A boxed lunch will be provided for pre-registered participants. For more information on the cost and to preregister, contact the Stone County Extension Center at (417) 357-6812 by September 23. A flyer and registration form is available in the Master Gardener section of the Stone County Extension Center website at http://extension.missouri.edu/stone/.
The Kimberling Area Library is located one block east of state highway 13 on Kissee Street in Kimberling City.
