On August 20, officers with the Aurora Police Department responded to a burglary call on West Church Street. The resident had been gone for several days and noticed signs of forced entry when he returned home. Several items had been taken. Detectives are investigating.

On the same day, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Madison Avenue in reference to credit card fraud. The complainant had been contacted by her credit card company’s fraud department and informed that someone identifying himself as her son had tried to use the card on the Internet at an online drug store. The victim did not know the name the suspect gave when trying to make the purchase online. After investigation, the case was determined to be unfounded.
