Officials with the Aurora Police Department secured a search warrant earlier this week and seized drugs, paraphernalia and cash while arresting Victor Manuel De Santiago.
A total of eight officers asssited in serving the warrant at 4 p.m., March 31, at 404 Wolfe Road. Officials had reason to believe controlled substances could be found at the residence, reported Interim Police Chief Pat Jenkins.
Officers seized ice (methamphetamine), scales, a number of plastic bags of a size normally used to package controlled substances for sale, other drug paraphernalia and over $18,000 in cash.
Officers arrested De Santiago, 26, from that address, and charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance. Court officials have set his bond at $100,000. Local officers transported Santiago to the Lawrence County Jail on April 1.
