Members of the Aurora Police Department served a search warrant at 1102 East Walnut on April 22. The residence is just outside the city limits of Aurora, according to Interim Police Chief Pat Jenkins.
Prior to applying for the search warrant, APD received authorization from Lawrence County Sheriff Brad DeLay. This action was a follow-up to the search warrant served on March 31 at 404 Wolfe Road (the residence of Victor De Santiago).
One of the occupants at 1102 East Walnut was actually present at 404 Wolfe Road when officers served that warrant.
At the residence on Walnut, officers seized a small amount of ice (methamphetamine), scales, a number of small plastic baggies of a type normally associated with the distribution of a controlled substance and other drug paraphernalia.
No one was home at the time the warrant was served. Charges are pending against the residents.
