On August 11, Aurora officers responded to a burglary alarm at Casey’s at 1020 West South Street.
The glass in the front door was broken but entry had not been made into the store. Aurora detectives are still investigating.
On August 14, an Aurora officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Elliott Avenue and Prospect Street.
The driver of the vehicle, Victor Gutierrez, had five outstanding warrants from Lawrence County.
Gutuerrez was released to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy.
On August 17, Aurora officers responded to a non-
injury traffic crash at Highway 60 and Highway 39.
Chad Smith, driving a 2007 International tractor-trailer, rear-ended a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dennis Findley.
