Detectives have identified four juvenile suspects responsible for several burglaries that occurred in the city in October. The juveniles went to Leitle’s Auto Supply business on October 3, and purchased a pair of small bolt cutters.
The juveniles then went to the Aurora Junior High Concession Stand and, using the bolt cutters, broke in and stole several items.
On October 10, these juveniles then broke into the old Radio Shack business located at Madison and Pleasant. They stole several miscellaneous items from that location.
They then went to the old B & P located at 301 Madison and used that business to store their stolen items. The juveniles then broke into Claytons Upholstery, located at 13 East Pleasant and stole money, bows, a chain saw, skateboards, bolt cutters and several other items.
The juveniles later went back to the B & P and stole a mini refrigerator and an automatic tenderizer. The detectives have recovered several of the stolen items.
The four juveniles have been charged with three counts of burglary and one count stealing. Detectives interviewed the juveniles and release them to the Juvenile Office.
All four juveniles are on house arrest pending this case going to court.
Detectives have also had a break in the case of the vandalism that occurred at Lowell School in September. Three of four juvenile suspects have been located and charges will be forthcoming from the Aurora Police Department.
