Significant Incidents
Detective Division

At approximately 2 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2 a.m., the Aurora Police Department responded to the 800 block of West St. Louis Street to assist the U.S. Marshall Service in serving a federal wanted person warrant.
When the marshalls arrived at the residence of their wanted subject, they discovered an active meth lab. The marshalls arrested William Hall (29) of Aurora on the federal warrant.
The marshalls requested that officers from the Aurora Police Department respond to the scene.
Due to the chemicals and other toxic and flammable ingredients used in the production of meth, officials contacted C.O.M.E.T. Task Force officers and requested it respond to the scene, as well.
The task force officers, in turn, contacted a hazmat environmental service agency to remove the meth lab from the residence. Officials contacted the housing authority and implemented procedures to make the residence safe. In addition, they contacted the Division of Family Services because of children who live in close proximity to the residence.
Officials arrested Eric Yount (44) of Aurora at the residence and charged him with distribution, delivery, manufacture, possession or attempt to possess a controlled substance with the intent to distribute or deliver.
The Aurora Police Department is continuing this investigation and additional arrests and charges are expected.
