Community keeps APD busy

Stealing, crashes, burglaries, serving warrants, etc. kept the Aurora Police Department busy in the past week.
On February 7, an officer responded to the 100 block of West Pearl Street in reference to found property. The reporting party found two Chinese-type yard ornaments and a 12-inch bicycle in the yard.
On February 7, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Madison Avenue/Church Street. A vehicle traveling east on Church was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Madison.
On February 11, officers responded to a reported burglary in the 900 block of South Madison, where a window had been broken and a portable welder stolen. Officer located the stolen item in the 200 block of East Springfield Street, where a suspect was taken into custody.
Arrests this week include:
• Nicholas Garrison -- Marionville warrant for failure to appear with an original charge of no insurance
• Joshua Chope -- driving while revoked
• John Mitchell -- possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Casey Hood -- Aurora warrant for failure to appear with an original charge of stealing
• Rickey Isser -- driving while intoxicated
• Nicholas Norstad --stealing, possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia
• Pamela Garoutte -- Marionville warrant for failure to appear with an original charge of peace disturbance
• Jason Stanley -- Aurora warrant for failure to appear with an original charge of no insurance
