Lawrence County Sheriff Brad DeLay shows where the old cell doors were at the Lawrence County Jail. DeLay said the new doors should arrive soon to finish the jail’s improvements. Other doors at the jail also will be replaced. The cost for replacing the doors in the facility is about $130,408. The doors being replaced were not designed to be used in a correctional center, DeLay said in an earlier interview.
