Both Aurora Christian Academy and Harvest Christian Academy are in the midst of the annual graduation process.
Graduation at ACA took place on May 13 at Fellowship Baptist Church and featured two graduates, Kevin Wayne Dinger and Jason Boyd.
Ceremonies to celebrate graduation at HCA are set for 7 p.m., May 21, at Harvest Church. The three graduates are Lindsey Renee Coatney, Jordan Michelle Jessee and Evan Christian Ward.
ACA
Boyd, started at ACA at age seven. His immediate plans for the future include helping his uncle start a new zip-line park near Branson. Later, he plans to work with his father at his granite company and attend some classes at Ozark Technical Community College in Springfield to further prepare himself for the family business.
Dinger has attended ACA since kindergarten. He has attended the Ozarks Regional Students’ Convocation, where he has earned medals in science engineering, science collections, social studies research, oil painting and athletic events. He took his projects to the International Students Convention, where he competed against ACE students from all over the world.
He plans to attend Missouri Southern State University in Joplin or College of the Ozarks at Point Lookout, where he plans to study in a computer-related field.
HCA
Coatney is the daughter of Troy and Shelly Coatney and the granddaughter of Edward and Linda Reynolds and Jim and Patty Coatney, all of Pierce City. She plans to attend college in the fall and pursue a career as a pharmacy technician.
Jessee, the granddaughter of Floyd and Jo Powell of Aurora and the daughter of Dianne Jessee of Enid, Oklahoma, and the late Douglas Gilmartin of Verona, plans to work in a day care facility in Enid this summer. She plans to attend North Oklahoma College in the fall and pursue a career as an ultrasound technician.
Ward is the son of Brad and April Ward and the grandson of Richard and the late Mandy Ball and Hershel and Sherry Ward, all of Aurora, and Beverly and Duane Roland of El Dorado, Kansas.
