In order to stay flexible to the changing needs of the industry, and to continue its commitment to hyper local community journalism, the Aurora Advertiser will now be shifting toward remote offices and no longer using the office space at 33 West Olive Street in downtown Aurora.
The last day for walk-in customers will be August 3.
“Based on the ease of online access for customer transactions, we are redirecting our walk-in customers,” Aurora Advertiser Senior Group Publisher Joe Leong said. “Most of our business process is already being handled remotely, and employees have their laptops and are able to work from the field.”
Leong stressed that this modification will not affect subscribers, who will continue to receive their weekly newspaper in the mail on Thursday and will always have 24-hour online access.
General Manager Paul Ward and Community Editor Emily Kesel will continue to be committed to covering the local news and employing marketing solutions for local businesses.
“We appreciate and are committed to all of our loyal readers and advertising partners,” Leong said. “We expect to continue to be an important segment of the community, chronicling the lives of the people who live here.”
