The filing period for the April 3 local election ended Tuesday, leaving a clear picture of who will be running for local government and school board positions in Aurora, Marionville and Verona, as well as county positions.

The following candidates will be on the ballot in each race.

Aurora

City council (two seats) -- Steve Ramirez, Doyle Ferguson, Donald McWade and Jerry Lee West School board -- Jeramie Grosenbacher, Mark McCully and David "Larry" Marks

Marionville

Mayor -- Chris Murphy Ward I -- Doris Rapp, David Arnsmeyer and Danny Clevenger Ward II -- Kay Leffingwell and Melissa Freeman Ward III -- Jessica Wilson School board (two seats) -- William "Bill" Gish and Allison Woody Workman

Verona

Board of Aldermen (two seats) -- Linda Gates, LaDonna Buzard, Sheila Massengill and Enrique Salas Perez School board (two seats) -- Donald Craft, Lisa Army and Jeff Hillhouse

Lawrence County

County clerk -- Gary Emerson and Tammy (Cole) Riebe Treasurer -- Kathy Fairchild

Candidates listed had filed for candidacy by the end of the filing period on Tuesday and were reported to the Advertiser on Wednesday.
