The 32nd annual Kids of Christmas campaign has kicked off recently, with many families needing assistance during the holiday season.

Anyone wishing to help this year can pick up one or more Christmas wish ornaments at Community National Bank, First Independent Bank, Great Southern Bank and WalMart. Donations may be left at these locations as well as the Aurora Advertiser office until December 15. Gifts need not be wrapped. OACAC will provide paper, tape and other necessary items to each family.

Monetary donations may be dropped off at Community National Bank or mailed to: Kids for Christmas 18256 Lawrence 1170 Aurora, MO 65605.

Individuals or groups who would like to provide the entire wish list for a child, or multiple children, are asked to call Janine Konstanzer at 678-4397.

Donations will be collected through Friday, December 15. The first nine families are listed below:

Family 1 -- Anna is nine years old. Her mother works part time and is going to school part time; Dad works full time. She would love to have a Life game and a Barbie doll. She needs jeans size 12 and a size 12 shirt. She needs a coat size 12 and shoes size seven. Her brother Braden is five and needs a shirt size medium (7-8), jeans size seven and shoes size 12. He would like some tractors or trucks and a Pete the Cat book. They both need hats and gloves.

Family 2 -- Cameron is 10 years old. He would like a basketball and a Nerf football. He needs jeans size 14, shirt size 14 and size eight shoes. His little brother Canin, age five, needs shirt and pants size five and size 12 shoes. He would like some cars and trucks or some Batman Legos. Their sister is eight and would like an Elsa, mermaid or Barbie doll. She need shoes size four, jeans and top size 10. They also need coats hats and gloves for all the kids. This single working dad receives no outside help.

Family 3 -- Doran is nine years old and would like dinosaur toys and some cars or Legos. He greatly needs clothes, a coat size 10 and shoes size three. His sister Gaylen is four and would like an Elsa doll. She needs clothes and a coat size seven and shoes size 10. This family's home burned down and they have no clothes or toys.

Family 4 -- Hunter is nine years old and would love a train or some Legos. He needs size eight shoes and clothes size 14. His sister Isabelle is six and would like a Connect Four game and a doll. She needs shoes size 13 and clothes size six. Their sister Jaysa is five, She needs clothes size 6x and size 12 shoes. She would like some play dishes and pretend food or some Legos. This is a two-parent working family but the mother has some health problems and can't work right now.

Family 5 -- Jackson is 10 years old and needs clothes size 10, as well as shoes size seven. He would like a science kit or soccer ball. Julie, age nine, needs shoes size six and clothes size 10. She would like some craft or bead kits or drawing supplies. Her sister Karla is six and she would like a My Little Pony toy. She needs clothes size seven and shoes size one. All of the kids need hats, gloves and coats. Dad is working part time since his hours were cut in October, and Mom has a lot of health problems right now.

Family 6 -- Heather is eight years old and would like a Sofia the First doll or a Frozen doll. She needs clothes and a coat size 10 and shoes size four. Brother Lonnie is four years old and would like any Paw Patrol toys. He needs size five clothes and a coat, as well as size eight shoes. Their sister Leann is two and needs clothes size 2T and shoes size eight. She would like a Doc McStuffins doll. Mom is not able to work. Dad works full time; money is just very tight this Christmas.

Family 7 -- Violet is eight years old and would really like to have a Frozen doll or some pots and pans or play dishes. She needs shoes size five and clothes size 12. Her sister Amanda is five years old. She would like a My Little Pony toy or play dishes. She needs clothes size six and shoes size three. Their little sister is two and she would like some play food and dishes or anything Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She needs shoes size seven and clothes size 3T. All three girls would love to have a play kitchen to share. All of the kids need hats and gloves. Mom is working and going through a divorce.

Family 8 -- At the head of this family is a single father who recently lost his job. His sons Drew and Devin ages nine and seven would like some dinosaur toys and a basketball. They love Lincoln Logs, also. They need clothes size 14 and seven and shoes sizes nine and 13.

Family 9 -- Chris is nine and would like to have a MC2 Science kit or paint and art set. He needs clothes size 14 and shoes size three. His brother Justin, age four, would like to have some noisy toys or any PJ Masks toys. He needs size 4T clothes and size seven shoes. This family just lost their father in an auto accident. The mother was also injured and is still recovering from injuries.
