The Hannibal Salvation Army is participating in a program with The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri called “Invest An Acre.” The program was created with the goal of getting more protein products into the hands of people who cannot afford to buy meat for their families.

“Invest An Acre” provides donors with an opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation that will be matched dollar for dollar by partner corporations. 100% of the donation and match goes back into the community. That money is then used to buy ground pork for local food pantries like The Salvation Army.

If you’d like to support this program, you can send a check to the Hannibal Salvation Army, PO Box 1203, Hannibal, Mo. 63401. Be sure to put “Invest An Acre” in the memo line. You can also make checks payable to “Invest An Acre” and mail to The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri, 2101 Vandiver Drive, Columbia, Mo. 65202. Be sure to include “Hannibal Salvation Army” in the memo line. Donations can also be made online at www.investanacre.org by clicking the “Donate” button on the front page.
