Members of the community attended the annual combined country school reunion on Sunday, June 28, at Robinson Elementary School in Aurora.
Glenna Williams, vice president, conducted the meeting in the absence of the president. Clyde Sharp led the Pledge to the Flag, while Mary Jo Henderson led the opening prayer.
Items on the agenda included reading the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report. All members also provided school memories and personal current events. Each individual school drew for door prizes during the meeting as well. The group also decided to send out postcards to encourage more members to attend meetings.
Those attending from Aurora included Shirley Tate, Vicki Johnson, Clyde Sharp, Jr. Sumners, Carrol Hilton, Mary Ann Manetzke, Lloyd Payne, Evelina Shippee, and Marlene Calico. Cassville attendees included Rebekah Miller, Glenna Edmondson, and Willodean Vaught. Also in attendance were Tom Clark of Spring, Texas, and Charles Williams of Sun Rise Beach, Missouri.
