Marionville, Mo. -

Various programs have been offered this summer for children and adults alike at the Marionville branch of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library.

“We try to have a wide variety of programs to try and meet everyone’s need,” said Janea Coker, Marionville branch supervisor.

Coker said that while participation numbers are still being calculated, over 1,500  children participated in the 17 summer programs offered by the library during June alone.

“We offered 40 programs this summer for children and adults alike, whether they were here to learn or just get out of the heat,” said Coker. “It’s our way of trying to be part of the community.

Coker said that even though the summer programs are ending, the library has other such programs throughout the year.
