The summer heat has arrived and we are still cool at the library! Come in for a welcome relief from the heat and see what we have going on while you are here!

We get new DVDs every month, too. Remember to check on the CD books. They are great to take on a car trip.
We are in the middle of our Summer Reading Club and we have lots of things happening. Children’s weekly programs are on Wednesdays at 10 am. These will go on until July 22, when we have our closing party. Remember to get your contracts turned in and bring in your final reading log in time for the closing party. Teens and adults have summer programs, too. This is the first year we have something to offer those over 20 in the way of a summer reading program, so ask at the desk for your game sheet and join in the fun.
Our weekly movies start at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 6. We will be showing a movie every Monday through the month of July. We have some great new titles to show! Call anytime for a list of the movies to be shown.
We started celebrating a “Bizarre” Day every month at the library. We pick a little-known holiday to share with our patrons. So far, we have honored Lucky Penny Day, Earth Day, Middle Name Pride Day, Chocolate Mint Day and Pink Day. What will we celebrate in July? You’ll have to come in and see.
This fall, we will be offering some seminars to help people who are interested in researching their family histories. Keep this in mind if you are interested and watch for further announcements.
Just a reminder that we are now operating under the summer hours. Monday through Thursday we are open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Friday, we are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday we will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. These hours will continue until August 15.
