Legacy, Woman of the Year and Elections, Preceptor Alpha Tau has been super busy wrapping up the sorority year and getting ready for the next.

Savannah Reinhart daughter of Melissa and Ernie Reinhart from Louisburg, Kansas, was named Preceptor Alpha Tau's legacy for 2016. Savannah is a sophomore at Louisburg High School and plays on the school soccer team and is very involved with church activities. We honored her with a pasta dinner and showered her with gifts and cards. We are honored to have her as our legacy.

Preceptor Alpha Tau attended Founders Day celebration at Clubhouse in Blue Springs. We had a great lunch and a wonderful afternoon. Cindy Parkes was named Woman of the Year and she was very excited to receive this award. We honored Cindy with a Mexican dinner and some special jewelry and a woman of the year plague at the home of our President Angie Harris.

Preceptor Alpha Tau held elections for a new slate of officers for 2016/2017 year. President, Cindy Parkes of Independence; Vice President, Kathy Troia-Morehouse of Raytown; Treasurer, Sandy Lee of Independence; Corresponding Secretary, Pam Garcia of Independence,; Recording Secretary, Melissa Burt of Independence; Advisor, Angie Harris of Independence. Congratulations to all of these ladies who were sworn into their new offices in May.

Preceptor Alpha Tau has 4 representatives that will attend City Council meetings for this next year. Angie Harris, Pam Garcia, Sandy Lee and Cindy Parkes. Congratulations to Cindy Parkes who was elected 3rd Vice President for Independence Council and Sandy Lee who was elected Recording Secretary.

Preceptor Alpha Tau celebrated their 44th birthday in May. We had dinner at the Smokehouse and cupcakes from Gigi's. We had our secret sister revealing for the year and wrapped up another awesome year.
